The Shell Graduate Program
As a technical graduate within the Petrophysics discipline of the Shell Graduate Program you will be part of our world-class technical team and reap the benefits of two to three years of structured learning. You will be involved in evaluating the nature and distribution of rock properties and formation fluids over the life cycle of reservoirs. You will be offered real responsibilities and challenges, and be given exposure to some of the critical issues facing the energy industry. Throughout the program, you will have the opportunity to draw on the experience of senior Petrophysics experts while working on some of Shell’s most frontier technical projects.

Roles and responsibilities
As part of the Petrophysics discipline, you will be working the industry’s ground breaking technologies and will be responsible for:
- Designing, supervising and evaluating data acquisition programs
- Managing and interpreting petrophysical data
- Quantifying and characterizing reservoir properties, including uncertainties
- Ensuring optimal design and suitable technologies are selected for data acquisition
- Working in multidisciplinary integrated teams to build subsurface static and dynamic models
You can expect to impact areas of the business involving:
- Field development planning of green and brown fields
- Well, Reservoir and Facility Management (WRFM) operations
- Well delivery and production optimization
- Stakeholder management with service providers, vendors, partners and third parties
