To become one of Canada’s top employers, an organization must demonstrate a superior workplace for their employees. Some of the areas which are evaluated include, but are not limited to, physical workplace, work and social atmosphere, employee communications, training and skills development and community Involvement.

Diane Jermyn, a reporter for The Globe and Mail, introduces the top 100 award by writing, “Each of the 100 winners of Canada’s Top 100 Employers has a story to tell. It’s about how these industry leaders have made their companies exceptional places to work with some of the best HR practices and more innovative initiatives, all valued by their employees themselves, empowering them in the workplace.”
