NAIT celebrates grand opening of Shell Manufacturing Centre
Unique new centre will help develop the next generation of skilled workers and enhance manufacturers’ productivity (Edmonton, AB) – Senior representatives from NAIT, Shell and the federal minister of Western Economic Diversification gathered today to officially open the NAIT Shell Manufacturing Centre, a $12 million one-stop shop for leading manufacturing technology education and service.

Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta - Shell advised early this morning that yesterday’s leak at the Scotford Upgrader is fully under control and all affected units have been safely shut down.

Scotford reports operational upset
Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta - Shell Canada confirmed that at approximately 4:00 pm today an operational upset occurred at the Scotford Upgrader east of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta when a leak occurred on the residue hydroconversion unit, which upgrades bitumen into synthetic crude oil. There were no injuries reported and all personnel have been accounted for.

Waterton Gas Release Update
Calgary, Alberta – Residents are free to return to their homes following a sour gas release this morning from a pipeline operated by Shell Canada in the Waterton gas field, about 20 kilometres west of Pincher Creek.

Shell people show they care with a $5.4 million donation to United Way
Calgary, Alberta – Shell Canada, Shell employees and Shell retirees announced today a donation of $5.4 million to United Way of Calgary and Area, the largest contribution to United Way from a company headquartered in Western Canada. Each year, Shell matches its employees’ and retirees’ donations dollar-for-dollar to United Way chapters across the country.

Shell Canada won’t continue Agency business in Manitoba
Manitoba - Shell Canada Limited will close 21 Shell Agency locations in Manitoba after efforts to sell the bulk fuel, lubricant storefronts and local cardlocks were unsuccessful. Shell’s 75 other retail and cardlock locations in Manitoba, along with aviation facilities, are not impacted by the closures.

Shell and Tree Canada to plant 120,000 trees across Canada

Royal Dutch Shell plc completes acquisition of Shell Canada Limited
Calgary, Alberta – Shell Canada announces that Royal Dutch Shell plc (RDS), through its wholly-owned subsidiary Shell Investments Limited, has acquired all of the remaining outstanding common shares of Shell Canada pursuant to the compulsory acquisition procedures available under the Canada Business Corporations Act. RDS now beneficially owns 100% of the common shares of Shell Canada.

Shell Canada Announces Changes to its Board Structure
Calgary, Alberta – On April 2, 2007, Royal Dutch Shell plc (RDS) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Shell Investments Limited (SIL), had taken up an aggregate of 172,696,415 common shares of Shell Canada Limited tendered to its offer mailed to shareholders on February 8 and extended on March 16. SIL and its affiliates now beneficially own 816,005,273 common shares, or approximately 98.8% of the outstanding common shares, of Shell Canada and will seek the remaining common shares through its right of compulsory acquisition.

Shell Canada Files Directors’ Circular Relating to Royal Dutch Shell Bid
Calgary, Alberta – Shell Canada Limited announced today that it has filed its Directors’ Circular relating to the Offer by Shell Investments Limited, a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc (RDS), to purchase all of the common shares of Shell Canada Limited not already held by Shell Investments Limited or its affiliates. The Directors’ Circular has been filed with securities regulators in Canada and the United States concurrently with the filing of the offering circular and related documents by RDS.

Shell Canada Limited Announces Recommended Offer for Minority Shares of Shell Canada Limited
Calgary, Alberta – Shell Canada Limited (‘Shell Canada’) announced today that Royal Dutch Shell plc (the ‘Group’) has reached agreement with and obtained the recommendation of the Board of Directors of Shell Canada on a revised offer (the ‘Offer’) to acquire all of the outstanding common shares of Shell Canada (TSX: SHC) not owned by the Group at a cash price of $45.00 per share.
