Shell Canada supports student initiatives at Collège de Maisonneuve
Montreal, Quebec – Shell Canada and Collège de Maisonneuve announced today a new initiative to support faculty and students in the Collège’s Institut de chimie et de pétrochimie. Shell’s Campus Ambassador Program, along with a $200,000 contribution from Shell, will provide support to the Collège de Maisonneuve faculty and students with the aim of developing and attracting the best and brightest recruits in years to come.

Shell and Tree Canada together plant one million trees
Calgary, Alberta - Shell Canada and Tree Canada today announced the planting of their one millionth tree, part of a planting program that will sequester more than 650,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide.

Shell Canada Limited Completes Acquisition of Duvernay Oil Corp.
Calgary, Alberta – Shell Canada Limited (“Shell Canada”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc, announced today that as of 1:01 a.m. on August 22, 2008, 61,661,551 common shares of Duvernay Oil Corp (“Duvernay”) have been validly deposited to the offer by BRS Gas Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shell Canada, to acquire all of the common shares of Duvernay (including common shares issuable upon the exercise or surrender of any options). BRS Gas Corp. has taken up all such shares, which represent approximately 97.7% of the common shares of Duvernay on a fully-diluted basis, and will pay for such shares on or before August 27, 2008.

Shell Canada Limited Receives Regulatory Approvals For Duvernay Oil Corp. Acquisition
The Hague – Shell Canada Limited (“Shell Canada”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc, announced today that it has received the approval of the Minister of Industry under the Investment Canada Act for its offer to purchase all of the outstanding common shares of Duvernay Oil Corp. (“Duvernay”) (including common shares issuable upon the exercise or surrender of any options). In approving the acquisition, the Minister determined that the transaction is likely to be of “net benefit to Canada” for purposes of the Investment Canada Act.

Shell Canada Limited Files Formal Offer for Duvernay Oil Corp.
The Hague - Shell Canada Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc (“Royal Dutch Shell”), has filed its formal offer (the “Offer”) to acquire all the common shares of Duvernay Oil Corp. (“Duvernay”) with securities regulators in Canada, and has mailed its offering circular and related documents (the “Offer Documents”) to Duvernay shareholders.

AOSP supports boreal habitat conservation

Shell Canada Announces Scholarship Winners
Calgary, Alberta – Shell Canada, along with the Heavy Duty Distributor Council of Canada, announces the first winners of the Heavy Duty Technician Scholarships. Introduced in June 2007, the scholarships are designed to support the next generation of skilled workers by providing financial assistance to Canadian students in a transport-related program.
