(Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta) -- RCMP took Greenpeace activists into custody overnight, ending their illegal protest at a construction site at Shell Scotford Complex northeast of Edmonton.

Shell responds to activists at its oil sands site
(Fort McMurray, Alberta) -- At approximately 8 a.m. this morning staff at Shell’s Albian Sands Muskeg River Mine became aware of activists in the operations area at our site, without authorization. Operations at the Muskeg River Mine have been temporarily suspended to ensure safety of the activists and of Shell staff.

Shell responds to court decision on oil sands approvals
(Calgary, Alberta) - On August 27, 2009 the Alberta Court of Appeal held that it will not hear the Oil Sands Environmental Coalition’s (OSEC) requested appeal of two recent Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB) decisions regarding Shell’s Jackpine Mine and Muskeg River Mine Expansion oil sands project approvals.

Shell coffee and car wash sales benefit Saskatchewan Telemiracle February 18
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – On February 18, purchase a Java Café coffee or car wash at any participating Saskatchewan Shell or Turbo station and Shell will donate the proceeds – plus a match of up to $5,000 – to the Kinsmen Telemiracle. The Telemiracle is a volunteer organization that provides medical equipment and access to the people of Saskatchewan.
