Facility Profile:

The CRC employs over 200 scientists, technologists and engineers who apply their diverse talents to solve Shell’s technology questions.  The research labs are equipped with the latest technology and the facility houses an extensive technical library. The CRC is a key part of Shell Canada’s ability to respond to the issues presented by today’s oil and gas industry and create innovative solutions to the technical questions of tomorrow.

Services:

The CRC is focused on technology advancements that ensure a smaller footprint for our operations, reduced greenhouse gases from Canada’s oil sands developments and cleaner fuels that contribute to improving air quality.

CRC laboratory teams are focused in five key areas:

• Oil sands technology
• Materials – testing and engineering
• Fuels and lubricants
• Analytics
• Information and Technology software development
