Shell's technical partnership with Ducati
The MotoGP World Championship is followed by millions of dedicated fans every year and Shell’s innovation and development within the sport has enabled them to help power Ducati Corse to more than 30 race victories as a result of a close technical partnership.
Shell and Ducati have been competing together in MotoGP since 2003, scoring a podium finish on the team’s debut and winning the 2007 Riders’, Teams’, and Constructors’ championships. This season the story continues with both Ducati Corse and Pramac Racing.
Ducati has also been a key ingredient in the Superbike World Championship since it began in 1988. The 2014 season marked the return of a winning partnership that had previously seen Shell partner the Italian team to six World Superbike Riders’ Championship titles and nine World Superbike Manufacturers’ titles as part of a relationship that dates back as far as 1999.

The Technical Partnership with Ducati
Shell uses what it learns from the racetrack to develop its Shell V-Power road fuels and Shell Advance lubricants so that bikers all over the world can benefit from the cutting-edge technology developed on the track.
The results have been constant throughout the relationship, with Shell’s continued goal to provide Ducati with 100% reliability, whilst optimising the power output from the bike.
