Interview with Grace
“If Shell was a person I would describe him as a bright and innovative person who always supports their friends.”

“My name is Grace. My role here is a graduate production engineer. At university I studied my Masters in mechanical engineering. I wanted to join Shell because I think they offer a fantastic graduate development program. It’s very organised and structured and it gives me many opportunities to learn and develop the skills that I need later on.”

“Another reason why I really wanted to join Shell was the travel. Outside of work I travel to quite a few different countries and hopefully I’ll be able to travel more with Shell. You can go to various countries, from Malaysia to the Netherlands, and in fact I’m actually going to New Zealand in September for my program.”

“Shell offers a fantastic support and mentoring program. They assign you a buddy and a mentor right from the start and you also have your line manager who’s always there to support you and guide you in the direction that you need to go.”

“Shell, I think, attracts bright and intelligent people who are motivated to work hard but also can enjoy life. Shell encourages you to have a work life balance by giving you a number of options. You have the flexible working day options. You also have flexi-days and even supporting things and events outside of work.”

“I definitely feel that I am encouraged to be myself at Shell and I say this because Shell has a culture where you feel all right to be yourself, you feel okay to voice your opinions, to speak up, really, and that’s me.”
