This document contains very important information regarding your rights and obligations, as well as conditions, limitations and exclusions that might apply to you. Please read it carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By subscribing to the Shell Car Wash Subscription Service (“Service”) via the Shell App, you (“Customer”) agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) which apply to the use of the Service. You must accept the latest Terms in the Shell App to use the Service.

2. Service Description

The Service is provided by Shell Canada Products ("Shell" or "we") and allows regular access to car wash services at participating Shell stations in Canada. The subscription is linked to your Shell App account and allows one car wash per day, subject to a monthly cap based on your billing cycle. Unused daily washes cannot be refunded, saved or carried over to be used on another day.

3. Eligibility and Account

(a) The Service is available only through the Shell App and requires internet access and a valid payment method.

(b) Each subscription is linked to a single Shell App account and cannot be shared, transferred, or assigned to another person or account.

4. Restrictions on Transfer and Resale

(a) The subscription and any car wash services obtained through it are for personal use only.

(b) Customers shall not resell, transfer, assign, or otherwise provide access to the car wash services to any other individual or entity.

(c) In response to any violation, or attempted violation, of this section 4, Shell may immediately suspension or termination of the subscription without refund for suspensions or terminations occur part way through a billing cycle.

5. Participating Locations

The Service is valid only at participating Shell stations. The list of participating stations is available in the Shell App by using the car wash locator on the Car Wash Page.

6. Payment and Billing

(a) The subscription renews automatically each month using an available Payment Method. “Payment Method” means a current, valid, accepted method of payment, as may be updated from time to time, and which may include payment through your account with a third party. Gift cards, loyalty program points (e.g., AIR MILES®), and electronic wallets like ApplePay, are not permitted as Payment Methods.

(b) The fee for the Service and any other charges you may incur in connection with your use of the service, such as taxes and possible transaction fees, will be charged to your Payment Method on the specific payment date indicated on the "Account" page. The length of your billing cycle will depend on the type of subscription that you choose when you signed up for the service. In some cases your payment date may change, for example if your Payment Method has not successfully settled, when you change your subscription plan or if your paid subscription began on a day not contained in a given month. Visit Shell App and click on the "Billing details" link on the "Account" page to see your next payment date. We may authorize your Payment Method in anticipation of subscription or service-related charges through various methods, including authorizing it for up to approximately one month of service as soon as you register. 

(c) You authorize us to charge any Payment Method associated to your account in case your primary Payment Method is declined or no longer available as a form of payment. Users are responsible for managing and maintaining their selected Payment Method and are liable for any fees incurred by other institutions (e.g., bank overdraft fees, foreign transaction fees). If payment fails, you have a two-day grace period to resolve the issue. Service access is suspended until payment is successful. You remain responsible for any uncollected amounts.

(d) You can update your Payment Methods by going to the "Account" page. We may also update your Payment Methods using information provided by the payment service providers. Following any update, you authorize us to continue to charge the applicable Payment Method(s).

(e) Unless you cancel your membership before your billing date, you authorize us to charge the subscription fee for the next billing cycle to your Payment Method (see "Cancellation" below).

7. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time via the Shell App, in which case your access to the Service will continue until the end of the current billing period. Payments are non-refundable except as required by law. To cancel, go to the "Account" page and follow the instructions for cancellation. If you cancel your subscription, your account will automatically close at the end of your current billing period. To see when your account will close, click "Billing details" on the "Account" page

8. Changes to Service, Price, and Terms

(a) Shell may change subscription plans, pricing, or these Terms on one or more occasions.

(b) Any changes will be communicated via notice in the Shell App. Continued use of the Service after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

(c) Price and plan changes will not take effect until at least 30 days after notice.

9. Loyalty and Promotions

(a) Subscribers may receive loyalty rewards, discounts, and exclusive offers, subject to change or discontinuation at Shell’s discretion.

(b) All promotional benefits end upon cancellation of the subscription.

10. Service Availability

(a) Service availability may be affected by factors such as weather, maintenance, or repairs.

(b) Shell is not liable for any unavailability due to such factors and will not provide any credits or refunds for periods of Service unavailability.

11. Miscellaneous

(a) Customers shall comply with all rules and instructions posted at participating stations.

(b) The most current Terms are always available in the Shell App.

This pass is non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash. Lost or stolen Passes will not be replaced. This Pass is redeemable for FIVE (5), or TEN (10), or TWENTY (20) touchless or soft touch Ultimate car washes as selected by customer at time of purchase, at participating Shell car wash locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario only. It has an expiry date of 1 calendar year (365 days) from date of first use in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.
