How do you use my location data?
We use your location data to find your nearest Shell Station, and for Shell EasyPay mobile payments to determine that you are at a participating Shell Station as well as to ensure transaction security when adding payment methods or making a purchase.
Why do I need to turn on my location?

Location data helps to locate your exact position and therefore find your nearest purchase location; additionally it is required for Shell EasyPay mobile payments to determine that you are at a participating Shell Station as well as to ensure transaction security when adding payment methods or making a purchase.
Without location data we cannot guarantee you will find your nearest purchase location or correct route planning, and you will be unable to use Shell EasyPay.

When you don’t have good connectivity it will take longer to load data for you to view. Good connectivity is especially important during the installation / upgrade process to ensure the app is configured correctly.

We work hard to make our app as stable as possible. Sometimes the app can crash due to lack of connectivity or other processes running on your device. To help us improve, we ask that you send us any crash reports. If you find that the app crashes regularly we suggest you uninstall and re-install the app on your device.

Shell continues to improve its network of stations across Canada. We strive to have the most accurate data possible, but if you find that a particular station is missing or shown in the wrong place, please reach out to us via chat, and we’ll be happy to help fix it.
