[Interviewer]
Do you come here often?
[Anne-Sophie]
Yes. It’s on my way to work and this Shell is very convenient.
[Interviewer]
Where are you from originally?
[Anne-Sophie]
I am from Montreal. The greatest town in Canada.
[Interviewer]
You think so?
[Anne-Sophie]
It’s a good one. I love Toronto. It’s a nice work city if you’re a workaholic. Great place to be, good money to make.
[Interviewer]
Do you consider yourself a workaholic?
[Anne-Sophie]
Yes. Definitely. My entire life I’ve done things to be the best at it. I won’t stop until I’m No.1. If you’re not first, your last.
[Interviewer]
Can you tell me a bit about what you do?
[Anne-Sophie]
We are an outsourced marketing firm.
[Interviewer]
You’re 26, and you’ve already been running a business in Toronto? Incredible.
[Anne-Sophie]
It’s fun. I love it.
[Interviewer]
Wow. And you did it all in a second language.
[Anne-Sophie]
I don’t walk around with an English dictionary. I’m consider myselt pretty good right now. I still have a thick accent. But if you verbalize your weaknesses, the become your strengths.
[Interviewer]
What motivates you to work so hard?
[Anne-Sophie]
My mom was a mom at home and that’s a great career to have. My dad was bringing the money home and I said I want to be a good mom at home, but I want to be independent. And I want to be able to make enough money to take care of my kids, no matter what.
[Interviewer]
What would be your goals for the future?
[Anne-Sophie]
I want to be in the Top Ten Most Successful Women in Canada by the time I’m 45. The reason why I want to get there is not just for the pride of it. But I know I’m going to have to help so many people along my way. And that’s what actually motivates me to get to that point.
